Anantara's Banana Island Resort in Doha is recruiting a General Technician to handle general maintenance, repairs and preventive maintenance throughout the hotel. Daily work includes inspecting and repairing basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical and building issues, responding to maintenance requests from guests and hotel departments, inspecting guest rooms, public areas and engineering facilities, and helping other engineering staff with troubleshooting. The technician reports major defects and safety hazards to the Engineering Supervisor, keeps records of completed work, maintains tools and work areas, and follows health, safety, fire and environmental rules. Previous experience in hotel maintenance or facilities management is preferred, along with basic electrical, plumbing and mechanical knowledge. A technical qualification or vocational training is an advantage. Applicants must be physically fit and able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
