The Westin in Doha (Salwa Road, Fereej Bin Mahmoud) is recruiting a Painter for its Engineering & Facilities team, a non-management role. The painter applies paint, varnish and finishes by brush, spray or roller to hotel walls, ceilings and furniture. They apply primer or filler to prepare surfaces and remove old coatings by stripping, sanding, wire-brushing, burning or sandblasting. Other duties are protecting surfaces and putting up warning signs while painting, cleaning and storing paint and tools, and coordinating colour changes with suppliers. The painter must follow safety procedures, report hazards, keep a professional appearance, use ladders, and lift up to 23 kg unaided. Requirements: a diploma from a technical, trade or vocational school and at least one year of related experience.
